3AM Apologies

3AM Apologies is a two-version drum-and-bass release by Velz about the aftermath of a messy night out: blurred memories, empty bank accounts and messages better left unsent. Its conversational UK-style storytelling gives the release a human counterpoint to the rhythm.

The original version takes a liquid drum-and-bass approach, pairing driving reese bass with melodic, emotional chords. The Street Step Edit moves toward jungle, changing the snare placement and breaking up the beat for a rougher feel. Listen to both versions to hear how the same late-night story changes with the groove.
