Cold Storage Epoch

Cold Storage Epoch is a six-minute atmospheric breakbeat track by Velz at 126 BPM, featured on the electronic album Fault Line. It connects ten thousand years of human record-keeping with the infrastructure of modern computation, placing limestone tally marks and cuneiform ledgers alongside Northern Virginia server farms.

Spoken-word commands cut through the rhythm, giving the track a narrative as well as a pulse. The release brings an atmospheric approach to Velz's breakbeat, jungle and drum-and-bass catalog. Explore the track on MusicEPs and follow its SoundCloud link for more listening.
